Het Eerste Rondje
A remake of Holland’s legendary bar singalong Het Laatste Rondje by André Hazes which served as the anthem to celebrate the grand reopening of all bars in the Netherlands.
After almost two years of COVID, our country is suffering a new lockdown. As their number one supplier, Heineken Nederland wanted to show its support. By giving a completely new meaning to its famous refrain singing: “Het is tijd, de hoogste tijd”.
As bars were expected to reopen soon, time was of the essence. Within five days, we gathered three famous artists, consolidated on the lyrics, recorded the record, shot a videoclip and distributed the campaign assets.
The song was released on YouTube, Spotify and as a download on the Heineken website, so bar owners could play the song the moment their bar opened again. This made the anthem song trending on Youtube, and shared by bar owners inviting their customers back for a good time. Bar owners even made their own video clip and copying our narrative.
The anthem became the opening song of Vrienden van Amstel Live, warm welcoming 150.000 fans to the biggest bar of the Netherlands.
